Privacy and Cybersecurity Counsel – Europe & META

About the role

Lenovo is seeking a Privacy and Cybersecurity Counsel to provide legal support on privacy and cybersecurity matters across the EU and globally. The counsel will work closely with business, security, product, and legal teams to translate regulatory requirements into practical guidance and processes.

Key responsibilities

• Advise stakeholders on cybersecurity laws and emerging frameworks such as NIS2, the EU Cyber Resilience Act, and DORA.
• Monitor privacy and cybersecurity legislation, standards, and enforcement trends and assess their impact on Lenovo.
• Translate legal requirements into guidance, decision frameworks, training, and internal processes.
• Support development and enhancement of privacy and cybersecurity standards and procedures.
• Provide legal support for privacy and security incidents, cyber investigations, and crisis response.
• Conduct privacy reviews of projects and products, offering practical recommendations.
• Draft and negotiate privacy and cybersecurity provisions in commercial agreements.
• Assist with customer engagements, audits, due diligence, RFPs, and regulatory inquiries.
• Collaborate with external counsel and internal subject‑matter experts on complex legal matters.

Required profile

• Law degree and qualification to practice law in a relevant jurisdiction.
• Experience in privacy, cybersecurity, technology, or regulatory legal matters, preferably within a multinational technology company.
• Strong understanding of EU privacy and cybersecurity frameworks.
