Medical Lead CEE+

About the role

Sobi is seeking a Medical Lead for the Central and Eastern Europe (CEE+) region to drive regional medical affairs plans, KOL engagement, and scientific data communication for its rare‑disease therapies. Reporting to the Medical Director CEERJ, the role combines strategic planning with hands‑on execution across multiple countries.

Key responsibilities

• Lead regional medical affairs planning and execution for assigned medicinal and medical device products, adapting global guidance to local specifics.
• Serve as the primary interface with Global Medical, Clinical Development, Pharmacovigilance and other HQ functions.
• Advise country Medical Science Liaisons (MSMs) on plan execution, prioritisation and alignment.
• Partner with country managers, commercial strategy and finance teams to align budget and operational plans.
• Participate in internal project teams and provide interim support for regional team members as needed.
• Build and maintain professional relationships with KOLs, payers and government bodies through compliant scientific exchange.
• Coordinate scientific support for investigators involved in company‑sponsored and investigator‑initiated studies.
• Maintain KOL engagement data in the CRM system and ensure timely updates.

Required profile

• Proven experience in medical affairs within the pharmaceutical or biotech industry.
• Strong stakeholder‑management and cross‑functional collaboration skills.
• Ability to translate global medical strategies into regional actions.
• Excellent communication skills for scientific exchange with KOLs and internal teams.
• Understanding of compliance requirements for medical communications.
