Junior Pricing Analyst

About the role

Zurich Insurance is seeking a Junior Pricing Analyst to join the Life Protection Unit (LPU) in Bratislava. The role supports the rollout of Experience Insights, a data‑science platform that helps set pricing assumptions for future life protection business.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with actuaries to understand products, data, and methodology.
• Develop R code for data preparation, ingestion and transformation together with actuaries and data scientists.
• Validate implementations against existing analyses for relevant products.
• Assist LPU data scientists and the Group Technology Office in aligning Azure tools with R code and deploying code to production.
• Support the creation of RMarkdown/Power BI reports to document outputs and help business units produce local best‑estimate reports.
• Participate in ad‑hoc tasks such as building predictive models and supporting pricing model changes.

Required profile

• 1+ year experience in an actuarial or data‑science team.
• University Master’s degree in financial mathematics, actuarial science, statistics, economics, quantitative methods, computer science or a related field.
• Strong English communication skills, both spoken and written.
• Willingness to learn actuarial methods and participate in actuarial tasks.

Required skills

• Proficient in R and data manipulation.
• Knowledge of SQL, Python and Power BI (plus).
• Familiarity with Azure tools for code deployment.
