Junior Electrical Designer for HV Stations

About the role

HITACHI ENERGY SLOVAKIA is looking for a motivated electrical engineer to design control systems, protections and auxiliary power for HV electrical stations, renewable energy sources and data centres. The work involves engineering electrical equipment, systems or installations, including specifications for manufacturing or construction, under the guidance of an experienced engineer.

Key responsibilities

• Process technical reports, standard calculations, analyses and routine project tasks.
• Follow work plans and estimated costs within your area of responsibility, delivering quality outputs on time and within budget.
• Collect data and support the creation of engineering designs, including designs for approval by the project team leader.
• Assist other engineers with construction permit applications, testing, drawings and computer work.
• Take part in procurement of materials and services, supplier documentation, requests for quotations and proposal evaluation.
• Clarify client technical requirements and collaborate with colleagues and suppliers.
• Use standard processes and tools, report deficiencies and suggest improvements.
• May assign tasks and coordinate technical and administrative personnel.

Required profile

• Education in electrical engineering or energy; suitable for graduates.
• Intermediate English (B1); German is welcome but not mandatory.
• Customer-oriented approach, communication and interpersonal skills.
• An advantage: knowledge of CAD/CAE tools such as AutoCAD and MicroStation, understanding of project planning, and experience in constructing or commissioning energy projects.
