Mechanical Design Engineer – Development Centre Košice

About the role

The MinebeaMitsumi Development Centre in Košice collaborates closely with the MinebeaMitsumi Technology Center Europe in Germany, bringing together experts in IT, electrical engineering, science and research. The centre focuses on innovation projects in medicine, robotics, and smart solutions, while also developing electronically commutated BLDC motors and drive technologies for automotive and industrial customers. As a Mechanical Design Engineer you will be responsible for end‑to‑end development, design and optimisation of mechanical components and tooling from concept to serial production.

Key responsibilities

• End‑to‑end development, design and optimisation of mechanical components and tooling from concept to serial production.
• Propose conceptual and final solutions meeting customer, supplier and departmental requirements.
• Prepare 3D models, 2D drawings and bills of materials for new and replacement parts.
• Ensure compliance with drawing standards, data revision and archiving systems.
• Collaborate with manufacturing plants and R&D centres to optimise manufacturability and cost efficiency.
• Participate in project management covering component design, pricing, tool design, simulation, tool manufacturing and functional sample production.
• Design new tools, optimise existing tools and manage revisions of modified tool parts.
• Identify, analyse and resolve production problems, adjusting processes to achieve required specifications and quality.
