IT Desktop Support Technician – Hybrid (Kosice, Slovakia)

About the role

We are seeking an IT Desktop Support Technician to provide on‑site and remote infrastructure support in a hybrid work setting based in Kechnec, Kosice, Slovakia. The role involves 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, handling a variety of hardware, software and networking issues.

Key responsibilities

• Provide field support for IT infrastructure, troubleshooting hardware, software and operating system problems while respecting warranty and security compliance.
• Install, configure, and repair desktops, laptops, printers and other peripherals, and perform smart‑hand activities on networking equipment.
• Diagnose and resolve network issues using TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN and RDP technologies.
• Analyze repeat calls, develop preventive actions and manage problems through ticketing systems such as ServiceNow or Remedy.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of hands‑on IT support experience, with ability to lift equipment up to 50 lb.
• Associate degree in Electronics or related field and CompTIA A+ certification; vendor certifications (Dell, Toshiba, Lenovo, HP) are a plus.
• Strong written and oral communication skills and ability to work independently or within a team.
• Flexibility to work varied schedules and meet deadlines.

Required skills

• Windows OS, macOS and Linux desktop administration.
• Hardware troubleshooting and PC break/fix.
• Networking fundamentals: LAN, WAN, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, RDP.
• Smart‑hand support for peripherals and networking gear.
• Ticketing tools experience (ServiceNow, Remedy).
• CompTIA A+ and optional vendor certifications.
