Head of Secure Connectivity

About the role

Erste Digital is looking for a senior leader to own and evolve the critical connectivity and protection services that keep the organisation securely linked to users, applications and the external world. You will be responsible for both strategic direction and day‑to‑day operational excellence of VPN, firewalls, intrusion prevention, WAF, DDoS protection, Zero Trust and privileged‑access capabilities.

Key responsibilities

• Own operational performance, availability and resilience of all critical connectivity services.
• Drive lifecycle management, change quality, capacity planning and recovery readiness.
• Lead the transition toward identity‑, device‑ and context‑aware (Zero Trust) access while maintaining stable service for existing consumers.
• Coordinate with identity, architecture, detection, incident response and technology operations teams to ensure seamless service under normal and crisis conditions.

Required profile

• Leadership experience in operational security, network or infrastructure platforms delivering business‑critical services.
• Proven track record of improving reliability, resilience, incident handling and change management.
• Strong stakeholder management skills across operations, technology, security and senior management.
• Ability to balance security, usability and delivery speed while remaining accountable for service quality.
