Financial Controlling Senior Specialist

About the role

The Financial Controlling Senior Specialist will lead and oversee the end‑to‑end cash management agenda for the Ice Cream business across Hungary, Czech Republic and Slovakia, ensuring sustainable cash generation and efficient working capital use.

Key responsibilities

• Own and continuously enhance the Credit Control process to drive best‑in‑class cash collection performance.
• Manage relationships with credit insurance and factoring providers, including policy administration, reporting and issue resolution.
• Proactively monitor collections, escalate issues, and oversee third‑party collection agencies to minimise overdue receivables.
• Calculate and post bad‑debt provisions and support legal teams in debt recovery.
• Lead monthly Debtors Review Meetings, providing in‑depth analysis of overdue balances and driving improvement actions.
• Prepare weekly overdue debt scorecards and partner with the Global Order‑to‑Cash team.
• Maintain customer master data related to payment terms and ensure contractual compliance.
• Execute release of sales orders blocked due to overdue balances or credit limits.
• Perform GFCF controls, support internal/external audits and FCA assessments.
• Build cash‑focused mindset across finance and non‑finance teams.

Required profile

• Proven experience in Credit Control, Accounts Receivable or Cash Management.
• Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret complex data.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English.
• Fluency in Hungarian and Slovak.
• Proactive, hands‑on, results‑oriented mindset with strong ownership.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize multiple deadlines and collaborate across functions and geographies.
