Finance Director

About the role

The Finance Director will act as a strategic business partner for a leading healthcare group, reporting solidly to the Managing Director and dotted‑line to the Group CFO. The role combines hands‑on financial management with deep operational insight across multiple entities.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and deliver structured financial and operational reporting, focusing on commercial finance and performance monitoring.
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, cash‑flow management and monthly financial closing for all entities.
• Build and enhance Business Intelligence solutions, data lakes, and data warehouses, and drive system integrations between finance, operations and data sources.
• Coordinate accounting activities, manage external accountants, auditors and advisors, and ensure statutory compliance across 11 companies.
• Support M&A activities including due diligence, valuations, integration planning and post‑merger reporting.
• Lead corporate governance initiatives, act as statutory director, and ensure compliance with formal requirements.
• Recruit, motivate and develop the finance team, fostering high performance and professional growth.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in financial, commercial management and reporting, with strong accounting background.
• Fluency in Slovak and English.
• Proven ability to operate in fast‑growing, multi‑entity environments.
• Strong analytical, structured thinking and stakeholder management skills.
