Data Protection Trainee – Part-Time for Students

About the role

ESET is looking for a Law Trainee to join its Data Protection team in Bratislava. This part-time role suits law students interested in GDPR, privacy compliance and corporate legal work, offering hands-on experience in data protection while supporting experienced colleagues with legal, administrative and compliance tasks. Working hours are tailored to the student's study schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Data Protection team with administrative and operational activities.
• Help prepare, review and organise legal and compliance documentation.
• Maintain records, trackers and documentation for privacy and data protection activities.
• Collect and organise information needed for internal privacy reviews, assessments and projects.
• Support the preparation of reports, presentations and internal materials.
• Collaborate with team members on ongoing privacy and compliance initiatives.
• Provide general administrative support as assigned by the manager.

Required profile

• Law student with at least one year of university studies completed.
• Interest in data protection, privacy law, GDPR or compliance.
• Good organisational skills, attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Good communication and collaboration skills, proactive and reliable approach.
• English at B2 level or higher.
• Nice to have: basic knowledge of GDPR, previous internship or work experience in a legal, compliance or administrative setting, familiarity with Microsoft Office tools.
