Data Engineer – Hybrid

About the role

Join the D&T CorSo Data Architecture & Engineering team to design, build and maintain data products that power analytics, reporting and business decision‑making across Swiss Re’s Corporate Solutions unit. You will work with modern data engineering technologies and AI‑assisted development tools to transform complex source data into trusted analytical assets. The role is hybrid, allowing you to collaborate both on‑site and remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with customers and stakeholders to understand data needs and translate them into scalable data solutions.
• Develop, test, and maintain robust data pipelines and data management solutions.
• Design and implement data flows for ingestion, transformation, processing and consumption.
• Contribute to building reliable, scalable solutions that support analytics, reporting and decision‑making.
• Improve data transparency through documentation, metadata management and support for self‑service consumption.
• Monitor pipelines for quality, performance and reliability, adhering to engineering standards and governance guidelines.
• Gain exposure to enterprise‑scale data modelling and data governance practices.

Required profile

• Proven experience in data engineering and building scalable data pipelines.
• Ability to work closely with business stakeholders to capture and translate data requirements.
• Strong analytical mindset and attention to data quality and reliability.
• Familiarity with enterprise‑scale data modelling and governance concepts.
• Comfort with modern data platforms and AI‑assisted development tools.
