Commercial Analyst

About the role

HCLTech is seeking a Commercial Analyst to support commercial governance, financial analysis, and contract compliance for client engagements in Bratislava. The role focuses on cost analysis, billing validation, financial reporting, and delivering commercial insights that enable accurate revenue recognition and informed decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze commercial data from contracts, Statements of Work (SOWs) and service agreements.
• Perform cost‑vs‑revenue analysis to ensure margin adherence and financial accuracy.
• Support forecasting, budgeting and variance analysis for ongoing engagements.
• Validate billing inputs against contractual terms, rate cards and ensure invoice accuracy.
• Identify and resolve billing discrepancies in collaboration with the commercial team.
• Prepare periodic commercial reports (monthly, quarterly, ad‑hoc) for internal and client consumption.
• Maintain audit‑ready documentation and ensure compliance with internal financial controls and client governance.
• Manage end‑to‑end vendor relationships, aligning them with contractual terms, scope of work and SLAs.
• Act as the primary commercial and operational interface between internal teams and external vendors, supporting onboarding, renewals and off‑boarding.

Required profile

• Relevant experience in commercial finance, billing or contract analysis.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to work with large data sets.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate documentation.
• Effective communication skills to collaborate with internal stakeholders and external vendors.
