Bezpečnostný špecialista (paternal cover), WHS

About the role

The Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) team at Amazon is looking for a Safety Specialist to ensure a safe and healthy environment across our Slovak sites, including distribution centres, sorting facilities and delivery stations. You will be responsible for implementing OHS programs, conducting audits and driving continuous improvement to protect employees and support operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor workplace performance against defined KPIs and develop process‑improvement plans.
• Implement OHS programs, organise and deliver safety trainings.
• Analyse safety metrics and incident trends to allocate resources to high‑risk areas.
• Conduct audits to verify compliance with Slovak OHS legislation and propose corrective actions.
• Work on‑site to observe processes, identify hazards, collect data and collaborate with cross‑functional teams on safer work methods.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification according to the European Qualifications Framework.
• Knowledge of Slovak occupational health and safety legislation.
• Fluent Slovak and good English (minimum B2) – written and spoken.
• Safety Technician (BT) certification.

• Lean, 5S and Kaizen methodologies.
• Safety metrics analysis.
• Audit and risk assessment techniques.
