Accounting and Tax Specialist

About the role

Join Decathlon’s finance team as an Accounting and Tax Specialist. You will help maintain accurate financial data and ensure a solid tax foundation for the company’s operations in Slovakia. The role combines routine accounting work with strategic tax compliance and risk mitigation.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and verify accounting entries and tax declarations.
• Participate in monthly, quarterly and annual closing processes.
• Record, control and report financial transactions.
• Support internal and external audits with documentation and risk controls.
• Manage balance‑sheet reconciliations and resolve overdue items.
• Identify and mitigate business risks such as fraud, compliance and tax issues.
• Prepare corporate income tax calculations and related filings.
• Assist with transfer‑pricing documentation, including local files, master files and CbCR.

Required profile

• Passionate about sport with an entrepreneurial mindset.
• Responsible, detail‑oriented and ready to tackle challenges.
• Minimum of 2 years experience in accounting.
• Good understanding of financial statements and tax returns.
• Communicative level of English (written and verbal).
• Organised, efficient and attentive to detail.
• Enthusiastic about leading and implementing new projects.
