Tax & Immigration Intern

About the role

This internship offers hands‑on experience in both taxation and immigration within Vialto’s global mobility practice. You will support international clients and employees in Slovakia, handling a variety of compliance cases and gaining exposure to cross‑border tax and immigration processes.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare Slovak personal income tax returns for employees assigned to and from Slovakia.
• Assist with documentation for Slovak social security and health‑insurance compliance.
• Communicate with Slovak tax authorities and relevant institutions.
• Collaborate with international colleagues to determine correct tax positions.
• Support process improvements and explore technology solutions for efficiency.
• Assist EU citizens and third‑country nationals with residence‑permit applications and registrations.
• Prepare immigration documentation and guide foreign employees through registration procedures.
• Liaise with the Foreign Police, labour offices, and other authorities on immigration matters.

Required profile

• Interest in tax, immigration and cross‑border compliance.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow regulatory guidelines.
• Effective communication skills for interacting with authorities and internal teams.
• Willingness to support process improvement initiatives.
