Credit & Collections Manager

About the role

Reporting to the Director, Credit Collections and Accounts Payable – Europe ANZ, the Credit & Collections Manager oversees credit management and collections for Europe, Australia and New Zealand. The role leads regional teams to optimise cash flow, minimise credit risk and drive continuous improvement across the Order‑to‑Cash (O2C) process.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the Order‑to‑Cash process for the region, set annual AR working‑capital targets (DSO, past‑due), monitor performance and implement corrective actions.
• Oversee credit collection activities: maintain customer payment terms, investigate overdue accounts, negotiate payment arrangements and ensure timely cash application in SAP.
• Ensure compliance with credit policy, Bad Debt Reserve reviews, write‑off authorisations and SOX requirements; coordinate internal and external audits.
• Lead the Credit Collections team: define SMART objectives, conduct performance reviews, recruit and develop staff, and drive process‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 + years experience in credit, collections or accounts receivable within a mid‑to‑large sized consumer‑goods or retail organisation.
• Strong knowledge of credit risk assessment, SAP (including SAP Credit Management) and advanced Excel.
• Excellent English communication skills, proven leadership abilities and a results‑oriented mindset.
