Senior SAP HCM Payroll Consultant (German speaking)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced German‑speaking Senior SAP HCM Payroll Consultant to join our international support team. The role focuses on delivering Application Management Services for SAP HCM environments, primarily within the SAP ERP landscape, for German‑based customers.

Key responsibilities

• Provide functional consulting and 2nd/3rd‑level support for SAP HCM Payroll (PY‑DE) solutions.
• Analyze, troubleshoot and resolve complex payroll and related HCM module issues (PA, OM, PT).
• Configure and customize payroll schemas, rules/PCRs, wage types, retroactive accounting and FI integrations.
• Participate in implementation projects, system enhancements and change requests.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, HR departments and technical teams across international locations.
• Support testing, defect resolution and deployment of payroll‑related changes.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of consulting, implementation and support experience with SAP HCM, especially German Payroll.
• Strong knowledge of German HR and payroll statutory processes and communication with authorities (ELStAM, DEÜV, social insurance reporting, rvBEA).
• Fluent in German and English, both spoken and written.
• Proven ability to analyse business requirements and translate them into SAP solutions.
• High ownership, problem‑solving skills and ability to work in distributed international teams.
