Senior React Native Engineer – Consumer Mobile

About the role

Payward’s Consumer Mobile team builds the Kraken app that millions use to manage their crypto assets. As a senior React Native engineer you will shape mobile experiences that are intuitive, fast, and trustworthy, working closely with product and design to solve real client problems.

Key responsibilities

• Own features end‑to‑end, from discovery and technical design through implementation, launch, measurement and iteration.
• Collaborate with product managers and designers early in the development process to challenge assumptions and craft optimal solutions.
• Build high‑quality, data‑rich React Native experiences that handle real‑time market data, ensuring responsiveness, reliability and performance.
• Participate in technical discussions, code reviews and mentorship to raise the engineering bar across the Consumer Mobile squad.

Required profile

• Strong React Native experience with production‑shipped applications and the ability to make architectural decisions.
• Product‑building mindset: start from the client problem, use metrics and experimentation to evaluate impact.
• Comfort with end‑to‑end feature ownership and working in a globally distributed, English‑speaking team.
• Willingness to leverage AI‑assisted development tools (e.g., Cursor, Copilot, Claude) while retaining engineering ownership.
