Senior Enterprise Architect

About the role

You will serve as the strategic architecture authority for Digital & Tech Asset Management, aligning platform, data and integration designs with Swiss Re’s enterprise‑wide architecture vision and business priorities. Working closely with the EA leadership team, design authority and senior stakeholders, you will guide the division toward secure, scalable and future‑ready solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Own the Asset Management landscape design, defining target architecture vision, principles, standards and technology roadmap.
• Act as senior architecture authority, establishing guardrails and governing solution alignment with target‑state architecture and major transformation initiatives.
• Translate complex technical topics into clear business decisions and executive‑level recommendations.
• Define and evolve the division’s data architecture strategy, covering data flows, integration patterns, models, lineage, governance and platform interoperability.
• Guide decisions on data platforms, APIs, event‑driven integration, master/reference data and AI‑enabled data capabilities.
• Drive technology modernization, evaluate emerging capabilities through PoCs and champion generative AI, AI‑augmented engineering and intelligent automation.
• Represent D&T Asset Management in enterprise architecture forums, influencing standards, reference architectures and governance processes.
• Lead architecture reviews, enforce security, resilience and operational excellence standards across the division.

Required profile

• Proven senior leader in enterprise architecture with a track record of shaping architecture vision and standards.
• Strong experience in data architecture, integration patterns and AI‑enabled data solutions.
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to executive audiences and influence cross‑functional stakeholders.
• Experience driving technology modernization, managing technical debt and evaluating emerging technologies.
