Reinsurance Accountant

About the role

Join Synpulse’s Centre of Excellence as a Reinsurance Accountant, supporting a UK‑based specialist insurance client. You will work within a newly established Reinsurance Operations Team, collaborating with finance, actuarial and underwriting stakeholders in an international environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage month‑end gross and net close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Analyse month‑end output and reinsurance regulatory returns, flagging material issues to the Reporting Manager.
• Assist with client regulatory submissions, including Solvency II, Lloyd’s market returns and US‑specific reinsurance requirements.
• Support business analytics by aiding ceded reinsurance and underwriting teams and contributing to the reinsurance spend model.
• Act as primary finance and actuarial contact, communicating expectations with client stakeholders.
• Perform regular reconciliations for quarter‑close and support external audit activities.
