Junior Finance Specialist (Hybrid)

About the role

Join a dynamic international team supporting non‑traditional reinsurance business activities. As a Junior Finance Specialist you will gain hands‑on experience across accounting, reporting and financial control while working closely with pricing, actuarial and group accounting teams.

Key responsibilities

• Review contracts and collaborate with Pricing, Portfolio Management, Actuarial and Group Accounting to understand transaction details.
• Record accurate ledger entries in line with deal structures, IFRS 17 and statutory accounting requirements during quarterly closes.
• Process payments and receipts for assigned deals, including booking, issuing payment instructions and following up on overdue items.
• Provide clear transaction information to Claims, Actuarial, IFRS 17 and Statutory Accounting teams.
• Maintain compliance with the control environment and support ad‑hoc projects, system improvements and reporting analyses.

Required profile

• Detail‑oriented with the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast‑paced environment.
• Strong analytical mindset and willingness to learn about complex reinsurance transactions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Ability to adapt quickly to new systems and workflows.

Required skills

• Understanding of financial statements (Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet).
• Knowledge of IFRS 17 and Statutory Accounting principles.
• Financial statement analysis and data management capabilities.
