IT License Management Professional

About the role

As an IT License Management Professional you will join the global Siemens Healthineers IT team and be responsible for the end‑to‑end management of software license infrastructures across the organization. You will ensure that engineering and enterprise software is used in a compliant, efficient and cost‑effective manner.

Key responsibilities

• Own multiple software license environments, primarily flexlm/flexnet‑based license servers and vendor‑specific technologies.
• Manage token, floating and site license models, guaranteeing optimal allocation, availability and utilization.
• Oversee daily license service operations, including monitoring, troubleshooting, vendor coordination and lifecycle management.
• Maintain transparent usage metrics, generate reports and drive optimisation based on actual consumption.
• Ensure compliance with license agreements, contractual terms, audits and legal frameworks.
• Define and maintain policies, standards and procedures for software license management.
• Identify security concerns on license servers and implement remediation actions.
• Evaluate new vendor requirements, assess impact on existing architectures and design necessary changes.
• Consult business units on demand, license model selection, cost estimation and implementation of new services.

Required profile

• University degree in information technology, computer science, business informatics or a related field.
• Experience with software license management, especially flexlm/flexnet environments and license server administration.
• Familiarity with IT Service Management, software deployment, internet technologies and cloud licensing concepts (SaaS, subscription models).
• Knowledge of ITIL processes is a plus.
• Proven ability to work with multiple software vendors (e.g., CAD/CAE/ECAD tools).
