C++ Software Engineer – On-Premise ESET PROTECT

About the role

You will join ESET's product team to develop and maintain the on‑premise version of ESET PROTECT. The role covers the full software development lifecycle, from analysis and design to implementation, testing, and ongoing maintenance.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and test C++ components for ESET PROTECT on‑premise.
• Maintain and improve existing codebases, ensuring high reliability and performance.
• Collaborate with an agile, self‑organising team to deliver continuous improvements for customers.
• Participate in code reviews, unit testing, and documentation.
• Investigate and integrate new technologies as needed.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in IT or a related field.
• Strong experience with modern C++ (C++11 or newer).
• Proficiency in SQL and/or NoSQL databases.
• Solid understanding of OOP, design patterns, and unit testing.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English.
• Willingness to learn new technologies.
