Head of Cyber Fusion

About the role

Lead the newly evolving Cyber & Information Security capability at Erste Digital, shaping detection, threat intelligence, incident response and fraud‑prevention into a single operational unit that protects employees, customers and the Group.

Key responsibilities

• Define and drive the strategy for threat and fraud detection, detection platforms and cyber‑threat intelligence across endpoints, identity, network, cloud and applications.
• Improve signal quality, detection coverage and response speed, automating repeatable investigation and containment while preserving expert judgement for high‑impact cases.
• Build strong operational interfaces with preventive controls, exposure management, security validation and the Group’s fraud, payments and customer‑protection stakeholders.
• Design capabilities to be reusable across the Group, creating blueprints, patterns and standards that scale beyond Erste Digital.

Required profile

• Leadership experience in security operations, fraud prevention, incident response or a comparable rapid‑detection environment.
• Solid understanding of modern SOC capabilities, telemetry, detection engineering, threat intelligence and response processes.
• Ability to stay effective under pressure, make sound judgments with incomplete information and balance security, customer impact and financial consequences.
• Improvement mindset: use incidents and fraud cases to measurably enhance detection and response over time.
