Senior Railway Track Designer (Ballast and Subgrade)

About the role

AFRY, an engineering, design and consulting firm, is looking for a qualified specialist in railway ballast and subgrade for its Slovak team. The role covers independent work on assigned projects, including high-speed lines and new constructions, and involves collaboration on digitalisation of design (BIM, VDC).

Key responsibilities

• Design the longitudinal and vertical alignment of the track.
• Design the railway ballast (track slab).
• Design the railway subgrade (track body, drainage, foundation under sleepers).
• Work independently on assigned projects.

Required profile

• Authorisation in the transport construction field.
• University degree in civil engineering.
• Experience designing railway ballast and subgrade.
• Knowledge of CAD tools.
• Willingness to learn new things.

• ProVii
• BIM and VDC (mentioned as part of the project work)
