Senior Python Software Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Python Software Engineer to join our remote‑first team, supporting clients across Slovakia. You will design, develop, and maintain high‑performance backend services using Python and modern cloud technologies.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend applications with Python, leveraging frameworks such as Django, Flask or FastAPI.
• Design, implement, and document RESTful APIs, database schemas and data models.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to plan, design and deliver software solutions in an Agile environment.
• Participate in code reviews, identify improvement areas and mentor junior developers.
• Troubleshoot, debug and resolve defects to ensure scalable, high‑quality solutions.

Required profile

• Proven experience engineering applications with Python.
• Strong understanding of REST APIs, version control (Git) and unit testing.
• Experience with relational (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and non‑relational databases (Redis, MongoDB, DynamoDB).
• Familiarity with event‑driven architectures and micro‑services.
• Ability to work remotely within Slovakia and communicate in English (B2+).
