Senior Product Owner (Hybrid)

About the role

Swiss Re Corporate Solutions is looking for a Senior Product Owner in Bratislava, working in a hybrid setting. You will define new features and continuously improve the platform, always taking into account the joint business goals. The role sits within an insurance and reinsurance environment and involves working with SMEs, the agile team and the production support team.

Key responsibilities

• Drive the platform vision: work with SMEs to capture business requirements, identify the scope of digital transformation and influence the operating model using the group's digital tools.
• Take part in release planning to prioritise features against quarterly and yearly targets, and be accountable for successful delivery.
• Create and maintain a prioritised Product Backlog, communicate priorities, sprint goals and acceptance criteria to the agile team, and contribute to sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives and refinement sessions.
• Review product progress at the end of each Sprint and accept or reject work done.
• Support UAT plans and test cases, take part in defect triage and prioritisation, and work with the production support team on incidents.
• Identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risks, and contribute to continuous improvement with business feedback.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, business administration, computer science or equivalent.
• Experience in the insurance industry on projects or programmes with significant change impact and cross-boundary dependencies.
• Proven track record of delivering projects from inception to delivery through Agile as a Product Owner.
• Prior experience in claims systems or claims handling is good to have.
• Ability to meet tight schedules and deadlines, with strong stakeholder management, attention to detail and excellent written and verbal communication.

Required skills

• Project management principles and tools.
• Familiarity with project management tools such as ADO and Confluence.

• Base salary in Slovakia of 3,300 to 5,400 EUR per month for a full-time role, adjusted to the candidate's profile.
