Senior Enterprise Architect - AI

About the role

Swiss Re is looking for a Senior Enterprise Architect to join its Group Enterprise Architecture function in Bratislava. As an individual contributor, you will lead the design and governance of AI architectures across complex, cross-domain transformation initiatives, acting as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders. The role covers either delivery (building AI solutions) or enablement and governance (setting standards and guardrails).

Key responsibilities

• Shape AI strategy and target architectures by engaging business areas and domains on use cases, roadmaps, blueprints and transition plans.
• Design end-to-end AI solution architectures across business, application, data, model, integration, security, evaluation, observability and production deployment.
• Drive standardization and reuse, including build-versus-buy and platform assessments.
• Lead architecture delivery from strategy and concept through implementation, production readiness and operational ownership.
• Define and evolve AI standards, reference architectures and reusable patterns.
• Lead AI architecture governance, including design authority, review criteria, quality assurance and compliance, covering Responsible AI, privacy, security and regulation.
• Govern the AI inventory to identify patterns, gaps, reuse opportunities and risks.
• Work with Domain Architects, business stakeholders, technology teams and risk partners, and mentor architects.

Required profile

• Previous experience in enterprise, solution, technology or transformation architecture in complex, matrixed or global organizations.
• Proven expertise in MLOps/LLMOps, AI security and privacy, observability, model monitoring and Responsible AI controls.
• Demonstrated leadership in defining and governing target architectures, including enterprise architecture frameworks, governance models and design authority processes.
• Strong stakeholder influencing skills, advising senior business and technology leaders.

Nice to have

• TOGAF or equivalent enterprise architecture certification, and certifications in AI, cloud, data, security or architecture.
• Experience with architecture inventories and repositories, and mentoring architects.

What we offer

• Base salary in Slovakia of EUR 3,400 to EUR 5,700 per month for a full-time role, adjusted to the candidate's profile.
