Senior Consultant SAP Digital Manufacturing

About the role

As a Senior Consultant in SAP Digital Manufacturing at Syntax, you will lead the digital transformation of manufacturing operations for global clients. You will design, configure, and implement SAP Digital Manufacturing solutions that connect shop‑floor systems with enterprise applications, delivering real‑time production insights.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement end‑to‑end SAP Digital Manufacturing (SAP DM) solutions across diverse manufacturing industries.
• Analyze and optimise shop‑floor processes, translating business requirements into scalable digital manufacturing configurations.
• Configure SAP DM capabilities such as production execution, order management, traceability, quality management, and resource coordination.
• Integrate SAP DM with SAP S/4HANA, SAP ERP, IoT devices, machines and automation platforms.
• Develop data‑driven manufacturing scenarios for real‑time monitoring, analytics and continuous improvement.
• Facilitate customer workshops, gather requirements and create implementation roadmaps.
• Participate in full project lifecycles – design, configuration, testing, go‑live and hyper‑care.
• Support presales activities including demonstrations, solution architecture and effort estimation.
• Share knowledge within the team and contribute to Syntax’s Digital Manufacturing portfolio.

Required profile

• Proven experience with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) or digital manufacturing solutions.
• Hands‑on expertise with SAP Digital Manufacturing or related SAP manufacturing technologies (e.g., SAP ME, SAP MII).
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, production logistics and shop‑floor integration.
• Experience integrating SAP DM with SAP S/4HANA and SAP ERP environments.
• Ability to translate complex business requirements into technical designs.
