SAP Security Consultant – Role‑Based Authorization Expert

About the role

We are looking for an experienced SAP Security Consultant to join Syntax Systems Ltd, a leading Managed Cloud Provider. The role focuses on designing, implementing and maintaining role‑based authorizations for SAP environments, ensuring compliance and security across S/4HANA, ECC and related applications.

Key responsibilities

• Perform user administration and maintain SAP security settings.
• Develop, document and manage application security roles and authorizations.
• Generate and analyse security reports, conduct testing and resolve issues.
• Identify and remediate segregation of duties (SoD) conflicts and support IT controls.
• Design and implement security for SAP CRM, ECC and Fiori, using SAP profile generator and related tools.
• Lead workshops with internal and external customers to refine roles and authorizations.
• Support governance, risk and compliance programs and ensure adherence to SoD principles.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of experience in SAP role‑based authorization design and configuration for S/4HANA and ERP solutions.
• At least two full‑project life cycles delivering SAP authorization concepts.
• Four+ years of experience with S/4HANA and Fiori security, including tile catalog definition.
• Four+ years in ERP security and three+ years designing security for Java‑based SAP applications.
• Proven expertise with SAP GRC AC/PC, BPC, BW and SAC security.
• Strong troubleshooting, unit and integration testing, and independent production support capabilities.
