CloudOps & FinOps Engineer (DevOps)

About the role

Join Cat Digital’s Slovakian branch as a CloudOps & FinOps Engineer, where you will operate, optimize, and govern Caterpillar’s cloud environments while enabling engineering teams to deliver secure, reliable, and cost‑efficient digital products.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and optimize cloud infrastructure and shared services across AWS and Azure.
• Drive cloud cost visibility, governance, and optimization through FinOps best practices.
• Monitor cloud usage, performance, reliability, and security.
• Develop and maintain automation, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and CI/CD solutions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues in cloud environments.
• Collaborate with engineering, security, and business teams to improve operational excellence and cloud efficiency.

Required profile

• Experience operating cloud environments in AWS and/or Azure.
• Understanding of CloudOps, FinOps, cloud governance, and security best practices.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, Bicep, or similar).
• Experience with CI/CD platforms such as GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or Jenkins.
• Experience with cloud monitoring, observability, and incident management.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Relevant degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience working within an Agile environment.
