Product Manager – Decommissioning, Dismantling & Waste Management

About the role

As a Product Manager for Decommissioning, Dismantling and Waste Management of nuclear components, you will lead the end‑to‑end product management of mechanical and thermal dismantling solutions. You will report to the D&WM Program Manager for Eastern Countries and work from the Westinghouse Slovakia branch in Trnava, following a hybrid work model.

Key responsibilities

• Define and maintain the product roadmap for dismantling technologies used in nuclear decommissioning.
• Translate customer and site requirements (utilities, EPCs, waste operators) into technical and commercial product specifications.
• Ensure full regulatory compliance, including nuclear safety, ALARA, waste classification and quality standards.
• Coordinate activities across R&D, engineering, operations, supply chain, quality and sales teams.
• Manage the product lifecycle from concept and qualification through deployment, industrialisation and obsolescence.
• Support bids, tenders and projects with technical input, value propositions and risk assessments.
• Monitor market trends, competitor solutions and emerging technologies in nuclear D&D.
• Drive continuous improvement focused on operator safety, remote handling, reliability and waste minimisation.

Required profile

• Experience with nuclear decommissioning and dismantling processes.
• Knowledge of mechanical cutting technologies for radioactive environments.
• Proven ability to manage product lifecycles and portfolios.
• Understanding of regulatory and safety‑driven design requirements.
• Experience in partner management with utilities, regulators and engineering teams.
• Capability to optimise cost, schedule and risk in complex projects.
