Procurement Buyer I (Maternity Cover)

About the role

We are seeking a proactive Procurement Buyer I to cover a maternity leave within our Supply Chain team. You will ensure timely procurement and delivery of materials needed for production and business operations in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Key responsibilities

• Issue, check, and track purchase orders in SAP according to company requirements.
• Verify order confirmations (price, delivery date) and confirm orders in SAP.
• Organise transport, support material receipt, and confirm delivery notes.
• Send forecasts and coordinate purchase orders through the system.
• Maintain daily communication with suppliers regarding delivery dates.
• Collaborate with Finance on invoicing and with Quality on Tier 2/3 meetings.
• Participate in problem‑solving and escalation processes.

Required profile

• Minimum high school diploma with school‑leaving exam.
• Upper‑intermediate English (B2) – written and spoken.
• Advanced knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word).
• Strong communication skills, team‑oriented mindset, and ability to work under pressure.
• Practical, structured, independent work style with high service orientation.

Required skills

• SAP MM module.
• SAP Ariba (plus).
• Microsoft Excel.
• Microsoft Word.
