Medical Science Liaison – Respiratory (Eastern Slovakia)

About the role

AstraZeneca is seeking a Medical Science Liaison (MSL) focused on respiratory therapeutics to support patients and healthcare professionals in Eastern Slovakia. The MSL will provide medical and ethical support for assigned products, develop and implement medical programs, and act as a scientific bridge between the company and key external experts.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, develop and maintain collaborative relationships with key external experts (KEEs), brand advocates and cooperative groups.
• Implement KEEs plans together with cross‑functional teams and ensure their execution in the local territory.
• Deliver high‑quality medical and scientific education, including clinical presentations to healthcare professionals, decision makers and budget holders.
• Provide accurate therapeutic area and product information to internal and external stakeholders.
• Contribute scientific input to commercial initiatives and assist in the preparation of marketing and brand plans.
• Prepare and execute medical tactics as part of strategic and operational plans.
• Support pre‑launch activities, health‑technology assessments, health‑economics trials and outcome research.
• Advise marketing on promotional and training materials and support sales training as a product expert.

Required profile

• Degree in life sciences, pharmacy, medicine or a related field.
• Strong scientific curiosity and ability to translate complex data into clear messages.
• Proactive, action‑oriented and confident in leading scientific discussions.
• Excellent collaboration skills with internal cross‑functional teams.
