Mechanical Engineer – Equipment & Packages

About the role

Kanadevia Inova, a global player in waste infrastructure and waste-to-X technology, is looking for a Mechanical Engineer for its projects in Bratislava. You will act as the single point of contact for all technical engineering matters, supporting both internal and site teams.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure technical specifications meet contractual requirements, delivering on time and within budget.
• Prepare technical documentation for RFQ/PO processes, evaluate bids and assist in supplier selection.
• Supervise suppliers, including pre-inspection and kick-off meetings, and review their technical and quality documentation.
• Manage CAE lists, work with quality inspectors and support the site team during erection and commissioning.
• Ensure compliance with HSE requirements and provide monitoring information to project management.

Required profile

• Experience in mechanical engineering within Oil & Gas, Energy or Renewables; basic electrical engineering knowledge is a plus.
• Fluent English and local language (at least B2); other languages are an advantage.
• Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills, with a hands-on approach and effective cross-cultural communication.

Required skills

• Proficiency in preparing specifications for mechanical equipment and systems.
• Knowledge of 2D/3D CAD methodology and CAE tools.
• Proficiency in MS Office.

• Indefinite employment contract with a basic gross wage of 2,200 EUR per month (higher depending on level, skills and experience).
