Junior Buyer – Procurement Operations

About the role

Join Covestro’s dynamic procurement team as a Junior Buyer. You will support day‑to‑day purchasing activities, manage supplier relationships and help ensure a smooth flow from purchase request to delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Process purchase requisitions (PRs) and release purchase orders (POs) in line with OSP, meeting quality and timing standards.
• Track PO status and deliveries to guarantee supply security.
• Maintain documentation in SAP, including import licences and end‑use certificates for raw materials.
• Resolve availability issues together with requisitioners and planners.
• Coordinate delivery and quality non‑conformities with plant stakeholders.
• Support root‑cause investigations on procurement problems.
• Monitor supplier performance (OTIF) and address major supply issues in collaboration with Category Management.

Required profile

• Degree in a business or technical field.
• 2‑3 years of experience in procurement operations, preferably in a service‑center environment.
• Ability to work independently under pressure and act as a team player.
• Strong service orientation and communication skills in English and Spanish.
