System Integration Application Design Senior Engineer

About the role

Schneider Electric is looking for a senior engineer to lead digital system integration for complex technical projects across Europe and South America. You will act as the single point of contact for clients, coordinating design, execution and commissioning activities.

Key responsibilities

• Design, modify and commission Edge Control systems (Panel servers, PME, PSO, EPAS) and define IP/Ethernet networks.
• Lead control‑system design reviews, tender processes and create system validation plans.
• Participate in FAT/SAT testing, on‑site commissioning and technical coordination between electrical and DPAC teams.
• Develop communication IED descriptions (CID files) and ensure integration with internal and external SCADA systems.

Required profile

• University degree in Electrical Engineering (minimum Bachelor, preferably Master).
• At least 5 years of experience with EPAS/PACIS, Wonderware or PSO software and 3 years of commissioning experience.
• Fluent English (B2 minimum); additional language is a plus.
• Valid EU passport, driving licence B and willingness to travel up to 80 % internationally.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of IEC & IEEE standards for electrical distribution.
• Expertise in protection relays (Micom, Sepam, Easergy, Vamp) and protection system operation.
• Advanced skills in communication protocols, IP/Ethernet networking and SCADA integration.
• Proficiency with EPAS/PACIS, Edge Control platforms and cybersecurity administration.
