Junior Accountant – Accounts Receivable

About the role

We are looking for a Junior Accountant focused on Accounts Receivable to support our finance team for a one‑year fixed‑term assignment. You will ensure timely, accurate and compliant processing of receivable transactions while adhering to service level agreements.

Key responsibilities

• Process electronic bank statements and allocate cash, handling disputes as needed.
• Perform credit control activities, including dunning, value adjustments and write‑offs.
• Maintain customer accounts and support periodic closing activities.
• Respond to ad‑hoc requests and ensure compliance with Covestro policies and procedures.
• Monitor service level agreements and key performance indicators for AR processes.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives for AR efficiency.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent, preferably with accounting or business focus.
• 0–2 years of experience in accounting, preferably in accounts receivable.
• Basic understanding of end‑to‑end finance and accounting processes.
• Self‑disciplined, able to work independently under pressure.
• Adaptable to new cultures and people.
• Strong service orientation and customer focus.
• Good communication skills and business‑level English.
