Intercompany Accountant (1-year contract)

About the role

Covestro is looking for an Intercompany Accountant to support its global finance operations for a limited period of one year. You will work with cross‑border transactions, ensuring accurate processing and reconciliation of intercompany activities.

Key responsibilities

• Process intercompany invoices and prepare them for payment
• Reconcile global intercompany accounts across financial systems
• Handle periodic financial closing activities and analysis
• Support global cash‑pool reconciliation
• Assist with Covestro Intercompany Clearing (CIC) payment activities
• Contribute to process improvements and test new solutions
• Follow company policies and service level agreements for intercompany transactions
• Help team members meet quality standards and efficiency initiatives

Required profile

• University degree in Business Administration with a focus on accounting or controlling (or equivalent)
• At least 2 years of professional experience in a financial accounting department
• Knowledge of global Accounts Payable, Sales & Distribution, External Reporting and Closing processes
• Very good English, including finance‑specific terminology
• Ability to work with diverse nationalities and translate business needs into value
• Pro‑active, quality‑focused attitude with strong problem‑solving skills
• Capability to build and maintain an expert network

What we offer

• Minimum salary of 1 650 EUR per month (higher possible based on experience)
• Fixed‑term contract for 12 months
