Financial Accountant

About the role

As a member of the Siemens Energy Accounting team, you will support the preparation of financial statements in line with IFRS and local GAAPs, execute core accounting tasks, and collaborate across borders. You will also play a key role in the SAP S/4HANA implementation, helping to map and test accounting processes in the new system.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in monthly, quarterly and year‑end closings in accordance with IFRS and local GAAPs and support the external audit process.
• Handle day‑to‑day ledger, provisions, accounts payable and accounts receivable activities.
• Perform balance‑sheet and P&L reconciliations and conduct critical reviews.
• Support internal control activities and preparation of statutory financial statements.
• Contribute to SAP S/4HANA implementation through process mapping, testing and transition tasks.
• Execute ad‑hoc analyses, process alignments and automation projects.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• At least 4 years of professional accounting experience, including financial statement preparation.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS; additional national GAAPs are a plus.
• Excellent written and spoken English and ability to work in an international environment.
• Proactive, diligent team player with a strong sense of ownership.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel skills.
• Experience with SAP, preferably SAP S/4HANA.
