Finance Manager

About the role

IQVIA, a global provider of clinical research services, commercial insights and healthcare intelligence, is looking for a Finance Manager in Bratislava. The role manages the business unit's financial consolidation process, prepares financial statements including project profitability analysis, and produces internal financial reports with variance explanations against plan and latest estimates.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse financial performance across business units, projects, GL accounts and regions, comparing actuals against estimates and budgets and providing management with trend information for corrective action
• Run project life-cycle analytics to improve forecast accuracy on revenue and cost burn, and coordinate project financial managers' and operating leaders' explanations of variances outside agreed tolerances
• Partner with operational leaders on forecasts, budgets and risk mitigation such as cost savings initiatives and revenue acceleration plans
• Support the quarterly business unit operating review presentation for senior leadership and perform business case analyses for investment decisions
• Review month-end entries such as accruals and record topside entries where needed
• Ensure compliance with internal financial accounting procedures and policies

Required profile

• 7 years of experience in financial planning and analysis, including month-end close exposure
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting and/or Finance; MBA and/or CPA preferred
• Strong analytical and numeracy skills, prioritisation and communication abilities

Required skills

• Technical accounting, including GAAP revenue recognition methods
• SAP and PeopleSoft finance modules
• AI experience, preferably Copilot
• Power BI and Power Query
• Microsoft Office, with Excel expertise required
