Engineering Data Analyst – Energy Industry (Intern)

About the role

Kanadevia Inova, a global player in waste infrastructure and waste-to-X technology, is looking for an intern to work as an Engineering Data Analyst in the energy industry. The role sits within the company's data team and involves collecting, validating and structuring technical plant data, building analytical tools and dashboards, and supporting end users.

Key responsibilities

• Collect, validate and structure technical plant data from internal and external sources.
• Carry out market intelligence activities to identify and fill data gaps.
• Develop, maintain and enhance the SIRI database, including interfaces and system dependencies.
• Create analytical tools, dashboards, automated reports and KPI reporting solutions for stakeholders.
• Collaborate across functions and locations, support end users, ensure data quality and maintain stakeholder communication.

Required profile

• Degree in Data Engineering, Data Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics or a related field.
• 1 to 2 years of experience in data engineering, analytics, reporting or IT systems is an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of databases, data modelling, reporting frameworks and data management principles.
• Experience handling large datasets and turning them into reliable analytics and reporting solutions.
• Knowledge of power plants and the energy industry is a must.
• ERP/PDM systems and strong stakeholder communication skills are advantageous.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft 365 and Power Platform (Power BI, Power Automate, Power Apps)
• Databases, data modelling and reporting frameworks

What we offer

• Basic wage component of 9 EUR per hour (gross), which is the minimum offered salary; final compensation depends on level, skills, experience and qualifications.
