Compliance Officer – Compliance Assurance

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Compliance Officer to join our global Assurance Team. In this second‑line‑of‑defence role you will help strengthen the compliance framework across the organization, identifying, assessing and monitoring compliance risks.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, design and execute compliance monitoring programmes and reviews.
• Support identification and analysis of compliance risks throughout the business.
• Evaluate the design and operating effectiveness of existing controls that mitigate compliance risks.
• Monitor and track timely resolution of identified compliance issues.
• Prepare reports on monitoring results and findings for senior management.
• Support investigations, ad‑hoc risk reviews and special projects as required.
• Provide compliance monitoring results for internal and external reporting.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across business units and group functions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent (law, business or finance qualification is a plus).
• 5+ years of experience in compliance, risk management or audit within the financial services industry.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Sound judgement, professional scepticism and confidence to challenge constructively.
• Ability to build trusted relationships while maintaining independence and objectivity.

Required skills

• Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint (Microsoft 365).
• Data‑analytics tools such as Power BI and Stargate.
• Interest in applying AI‑enabled tools to enhance compliance monitoring.
