Assistant Store Manager

About the role

The Assistant Store Manager supports the Store Manager in driving sales, delivering outstanding customer service, and maintaining store appearance and operations. This role leads the team during the manager’s absence and ensures smooth store performance across all shifts.

Key responsibilities

• Lead store team members in delivering excellent customer service to retail and professional customers.
• Supervise customer service programs such as Related sales, Hi5, Rock the Call, Never Say No, and Rock the Lot.
• Ensure proper staffing of the retail sales counter during peak hours and manage store operations in the Store Manager’s absence.
• Oversee hiring processes, training, goal setting, and performance coaching for team members.
• Handle telephone inquiries, online orders, special orders, returns, exchanges, and invoicing in accordance with company policies.
• Perform store opening and closing duties, including cash handling, security, and facility maintenance.

Required profile

• Completion of Sales Specialist Training, Assistant Manager Certification, and RSS Certification.
• Desired certifications include Certified Parts Professional and ASE Certification.
• Fluency in multiple languages, with Spanish highly desired.
