Accounting Manager

About the role

Inter IKEA Group is looking for an Accounting Manager in Malacky. The role leads a team of 11 accountants and covers legal financial reporting under local GAAP and IFRS, together with coordination of month-end and year-end closings, audits and compliance with accounting and tax rules.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare legal financial statements according to local GAAP and IFRS, including accounting and tax, with monthly and yearly closings.
• Coordinate all closing schedules (monthly and yearly) and internal or external audits, and work with auditors to ensure a smooth audit completion and signing.
• Ensure the company has access to the needed knowledge and expertise in finance, accounting and direct tax.
• Collaborate on the Finance functional plan (business plan) with the Process Developer and the Components Finance managers.
• Lead the accounting team of 11 colleagues and support their individual development.
• Ensure compliance with accounting and tax laws, Inter IKEA financial policies and procedures, and internal work instructions.
• Monitor and analyse department work to improve efficiency and resource use while keeping accuracy high, and continuously improve bookkeeping processes and controls.

Required profile

• Deep knowledge of financial and management accounting, tax principles, practices, standards and regulations.
• At least 5 years of experience in a similar position within an international group of companies.
• Business partnering skills and strong relationship-building ability.
• Holistic business thinking combined with attention to detail.
• Motivation to contribute to the ongoing transformation of the Finance function.
• Ambassador for IKEA culture and values, with value-based decision making.
• Fluent English.
