Accounting Manager

About the role

Vistra is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to join its Slovakia leadership team. The role combines oversight of client accounting and tax services with internal financial reporting and strategic business development.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the Accounting Department and ensure high‑quality accounting services for clients.
• Manage full‑scope client accounting in compliance with Slovak legislation.
• Prepare, compile and review statutory financial statements and corporate income tax returns.
• Take responsibility for VAT, Intrastat, statistical reporting and motor vehicle tax compliance.
• Communicate with the Slovak Financial Administration and other regulatory bodies.
• Prepare client and internal financial reporting and convert accounting output for management use.
• Support business development activities and collaborate with the Group Finance team.

Required profile

• Senior professional with proven experience in accounting, tax compliance and financial reporting.
• Strong leadership skills to manage a small local team and drive process improvements.
• Ability to work autonomously and influence the growth direction of the business in Slovakia.
• Excellent communication skills for interaction with clients and public authorities.
