Accounting Controller

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Accounting Controller to oversee statutory accounting for several EMEA entities. The role focuses on preparing annual financial statements, managing audits, and ensuring compliance with local GAAP and IFRS while offering flexible working hours and occasional home‑office.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare annual statutory financial statements and accompanying notes in accordance with local GAAP and IFRS.
• Coordinate and manage annual statutory audits, ensuring internal and external deadlines are met.
• Conduct regular internal financial reviews and support external auditors.
• Handle tax returns and tax provisions in collaboration with external advisors.
• Execute monthly closing activities and maintain accurate accounting records.
• Monitor balance‑sheet reconciliations and compliance trends.
• Collaborate with internal accounting teams and corporate treasury on cash‑flow and lending activities.

Required profile

• University degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics.
• Minimum 10 years of finance experience, including at least 5 years in statutory accounting or audit.
• Proven experience coordinating statutory audits with external auditors.
• Background in a multinational corporation or shared‑services environment is preferred.
• Fluent written and spoken English.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and local GAAP standards.
• Experience with accounting software and financial reporting tools.
