Accountant with German – International Projects

About the role

PwC Tax k.s. is looking for a detail‑oriented accountant who is fluent in German and eager to work on international projects. Based in Bratislava, you will join a multicultural team and support German‑speaking clients in day‑to‑day finance operations.

Key responsibilities

• Support and coordinate operational finance and accounting processes across multiple projects, focusing on AP, AR, GL and Procure‑to‑Pay.
• Record, review and reconcile financial transactions, including bank movements, payroll items and GL entries.
• Communicate regularly with external German‑speaking clients and internal stakeholders via email, calls and meetings.
• Drive resolution of open items, chase approvals and coordinate with finance and business teams.
• Assist with month‑end closing, financial reporting and preparation of periodic financial statements.
• Perform basic financial analysis to identify discrepancies, trends and improvement opportunities.

Required profile

• Strong accounting background with experience in AP, AR, GL and Procure‑to‑Pay.
• Fluency in German (written and spoken) for client communication.
• Consulting mindset and ability to work closely with clients as a trusted partner.
• Attention to detail, analytical thinking and proactive problem‑solving.
