Accountant – German language, International Projects

About the role

We are seeking a detail‑oriented accountant fluent in German to join our international finance team in Bratislava. You will work on diverse projects, supporting German‑speaking clients and helping them manage day‑to‑day finance operations.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and support operational finance and accounting processes, focusing on Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger and Procure‑to‑Pay.
• Record, review and reconcile financial transactions, including bank, payroll and cash‑application items.
• Communicate regularly with external German‑speaking clients and internal stakeholders via email, calls and meetings.
• Drive resolution of open items, chase approvals and coordinate across finance and business teams.
• Assist with month‑end closing, financial reporting and preparation of periodic financial statements.
• Perform basic financial analysis to identify discrepancies and suggest improvements.
• Share knowledge within the team and support junior colleagues as needed.

Required profile

• Fluency in German (written and spoken) and English.
• Strong accounting background with experience in AP, AR and GL processes.
• Consulting mindset and ability to work closely with clients.
• Attention to detail and proactive communication skills.
