Transport Operations Manager (M/F)

About the role

The Transport Operations Manager will lead local distribution, daily transport planning, and fleet operations to ensure reliable, cost‑effective delivery of transport services. You will optimise capacity, drive performance, and maintain high customer service standards while supporting overall business objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage daily transport operations, ensuring efficient planning and execution of local distribution activities.
• Oversee fleet operations and transport capacity, guaranteeing optimal vehicle utilisation and cost efficiency.
• Monitor and drive operational KPIs to meet customer commitments and business goals.
• Maintain strong customer relationships, ensuring high satisfaction and long‑term partnership development.
• Optimise transport planning, routing and scheduling to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
• Build and sustain effective relationships with customers, carriers and internal stakeholders.
• Drive continuous‑improvement initiatives and ensure compliance with transport regulations and company standards.

Required profile

• Proven experience in transport operations, distribution, fleet management or logistics, including people management.
• Strong understanding of transport planning, routing, capacity management and fleet operations.
• Experience managing operational KPIs and leading continuous‑improvement projects.
• Good knowledge of transport regulations and road‑transport operations.
• Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Fluent English (C1 level) – written and spoken.
• Strong analytical, organisational and problem‑solving abilities.
